ArcDesign specializes in custom-designing residential floor plans and permit drawings (formerly known as blueprints) for both single-family homes and duplexes. Our very talented team of designers and draftsmen will work with you to create a design based on your needs and wants and we will then produce a permit drawing set for you, your contractor, and the building department.

Write a list of all your needs and wants. Don't hold back. You can always scale down as you discover what's possible during the design phase.

STEP TWO

Collect images from the internet and magazines and even take some of your own photos should you find real-life design inspiration wherever you happen to be. Houzz.com has a never-ending supply of design idea photos.

This of course is different for each, and it depends on the project and its complexity. In general, first drafts can be expected around 2 to 3 weeks after a contract is signed. We can also take rush projects and it will impact the quoting. More exact deadlines and first submittal estimate dates will be discussed in the first design consultation.
Share all ideas that you have about a project. Anything from hand sketches of your idea, to pictures of similar pieces. Include specific materials you want your project to be built out of, as well as specific appliances or hardware needed. It would be helpful to include any dimensions that you already know, even if you only know a little bit. The more information you share, the better.
